Description of the Research Project

The project "Behavior Based Safety (BBS) - Safe Behavior with Rescue Workers" is a research project launched by the German Federal and Railroad Accident Insurance (UVB). This project took root given the background of the DGUV (German Social Accident Insurance Association) campaign: "Culture of Prevention", and the continuously rising accident figures provided by the German Red Cross (DRK). As a result, behavior-analytical methods of Behavior Based Safety (BBS) have been applied and adapted to the working environment of rescue workers in selected companies of the DRK. The project was academically supported by the University of Applied Sciences Würzburg-Schweinfurt (FHWS), which acted as an implementation partner and contractor.
