Arriving in Würzburg

Air

Würzburg is about 90 minutes away from Frankfurt Airport (IATA-Code: FRA). It is the largest German passenger airport and the third-largest in Europe. Almost all large European airlines fly into Frankfurt several times a day. By a long-distance railway station, the airport is connected to the railway system of the German railway Deutsche Bahn.

Train

With “Würzburg main station”, the city is connected with important north-to-south as well as west-to-east train connections. For example, the Intercity Expresses (ICE) from Hamburg to Munich and from the Rhine-Ruhr metropolitan region to Nuremberg and Vienna stop at Würzburg main station several times a day.

Bus

In recent years, the network of long-distance bus routes has been expaned so Würzburg can also be reached by bus due to its direct access to central motorways (Autobahnen). The central bus station is located in immediate vicinity to the train station.

Car

Access to Würzburg by several junctions of important motorway routes (A3, A7, A81) ensure good accessibility of the city by car.
