The 5th Human Rights Week

A theme week of the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences on the occasion of the Day of Human Rights

The Human Rights Week took place from 10 to 13 December 2018 at the Faculty of Applied Social Sciences of the Würzburg-Schweinfurt University of Applied Sciences (Münzstraße 12, 97070 Würzburg).

1st Würzburg Psychiatric Day

The UN-BRC calls for the comprehensive strengthening of the human rights of people with long-term physical, mental, spiritual or sensory impairments.
The demands range from the promotion of the participation of those affected in medical decisions, the reduction of measures restricting freedom and their documents, to the adequate provision of space and personnel in the clinics.
So human rights requirements for a psychiatric care and support system are the focus of the discussions.
The 1st Würzburg "Day of Psychiatry" in the context of the 5th Human Rights Week at the FHWS will contribute to the discussion with four different lectures on current topics from research and practice.
