Vortragstitel: "Bullying Experiences of Muslim Students in the USA"

Title of lecture: This presentation will share esearch findings from a qualitative study that examined bullying experiences of Muslim students in light of the growing surge of Anti-Muslim sentiment in the USA. 

Biography: 

Dr. Khaja was born in Africa and earned her B.A., B.S.W., and M.S.W. degrees in Canada. Dr. Khaja's research interests are around building inclusive teachning and learning climates, international social work practice, Islamophobia, Muslim social work needs, bullying of Muslims, civil discourse in higher education, the practice of female circumcision, addressing the grwoth of white nationalist movements and effective teaching / learning in online communities. Dr. Khaja was the lead that organized a conference in Indiana that addressed GLobal Interfaith Peace Building. She was also co-editor of a special issue of the Advances in Social Work Journal that focused on Global Problems and Local Solutions.
