The "Conceptathon 2019" will take place on 17 May 2019 with approx. 170-200 students from four study programmes (Social Work, Management in Health Care, E-Commerce, Industrial Engineering) and two cultures, involving Lohr citizens and companies. 40 mixed teams will work in groups of 5-6 people at 4 locations in Lohr am Main in 12 hours on 10 topics and develop 40 new (digital) solution ideas for urgent questions and problems of the city of Lohr and the Main-Spessart district.

We are still looking for competent people who are available to the teams on the topics "Inclusion", "Staying healthy + Getting healthy", "Feeling online" and "Preventing the extinction of the inner city" for a technical discussion (by telephone and also on site) from approx. 9.30 a.m. to 10 a.m.. The discussion partners can answer questions about their current problems, needs and ideas for improvement, so that practical solutions can be developed by the teams.

For the event, the students from the Social Work and Healthcare Management degree programmes were familiarised with the method of design thinking in a joint event by visiting professor Dr. Paula Bobrowski from Auburn University.

The cooperative overall project "Konzeptathon" is under the joint responsibility of the participating lecturers (Warnke, Gartzke, Peters von FAS, Sponholz von FWI, Müller, Müßig von FIW) and is mainly carried out by the City of Lohr - in person of the First Mayor - and the management of the Starthouse in Spessart - in person of Ms Lisa Straub. From the event in Lohr, the participants expect learning outcomes such as an understanding of problems and ideas for solutions in other specialist areas and areas of competence, but also the presentation of ideas that are as concrete as possible and can be implemented on site.
